Job Description

Are you a strong an experienced and proactive Field Service Engineer looking for a role within an established IVD firm?


My client is a well funded developer of clinical diagnostics solutions and we looking for a Technical Application Engineer to join the growing service and support team.


This person can be based ANYWHERE in the EAST of the USA


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review written laboratory validation study reports
  • Install, de-install, and repair instrumentation as needed
  • Diagnose errors or troubleshoot technical problems, system errors, determine proper component level solutions
  • Provide education of the clinical utility of the company's products in the laboratory as needed


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Scientific discipline or Engineering
  • 5 years experience as a Field Engineer in a clinical lab environment
  • Experience with immunoassays (autoimmune/infectious disease preferred) in addition to associated automation systems
  • Experience installing, operating, maintaining and repairing modifying biochemical equipment
  • Ability to travel ~50% initially for training but likely to be less on average
