Robert Hambidge is Director of Group Performance & Excellence at Irving Knight, leading operational strategy, performance standards, and delivery execution across the London, Leeds and Dubai offices. He also oversees performance alignment for the sister company, Atrio Search, ensuring systems, coaching frameworks, and commercial outputs are consistent across the Group.

Robert began his recruitment career as a consultant within the Life Sciences sector before transitioning into performance leadership. Prior to this, he completed a 12-year career in the British Army, serving as a Physical Training Instructor where instructing and teaching became a defining passion. Supporting individuals to improve resilience, discipline, and output shaped the foundation of his leadership philosophy.

He holds advanced qualifications in coaching, leadership, assessment, education, and sports psychology, including a Level 5 Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring and a Level 4 Certificate in Leadership and Management. His professional development is grounded in accredited training through Made to Measure Mentoring Ltd, ILM, City & Guilds, and Studyhouse.

His approach blends structured coaching, measurable development frameworks, and disciplined performance management to deliver sustained commercial growth and high-performing teams.
